Ukindo aims to improve the lives of children living on the streets. Ukindo will be supporting the improvements and development of fostering within India to help support the number of orphaned and destitute children living on the street. Ukindo is campaigning for greater awareness of fostering and the recruitment of foster families.

Ukindo recognises that children from deprived backgrounds are not receiving the level of education they need to enable them to move out of the cycle of poverty of their birth. Ukindo believes that children, whatever their background, deserve a high quality education and opportunities to achieve in life for themselves and their families.

Ukindo recognises that young women from deprived areas are often not afforded the employment opportunities of their peers from more affluent backgrounds. Ukindo is calling on corporates who are willing to work with Ukindo to offer work placements for young women who have been provided training by the Skills Development Project.
